The Department of Cybersecurity aspires to be a distinguished regional and international center for building competencies capable of protecting the digital frontier. We aim to lead in providing rigorous technical education and research that secures information infrastructures and enhances cyber resilience against evolving threats, ensuring the sustainability of a secure digital transformation for society and institutions.

Our mission is to prepare a generation of technical experts specialized in protecting systems and data by providing an applied academic environment based on international standards. We are committed to equipping students with defensive and ethical hacking skills, and incident response capabilities, with a focus on localizing advanced skills and professional certifications required by the labor market, while instilling values of responsibility and scientific integrity in protecting privacy and national digital security.

 

  1. Building Scientific Foundations: To qualify students in networks, cryptography, and operating systems as the core pillars of digital security.

  2. Mastery of Protection Tools: To enable students to use the latest technologies for securing networks and cloud infrastructures against breaches.

  3. Developing Response Skills: To train students in detecting cyber threats, analyzing malware, and handling digital incidents with high professionalism.

  4. Awareness of Legislation and Ethics: To instill laws and regulations related to information crimes and professional ethics in handling sensitive data.

  5. Technological Alignment: To transfer contemporary skills in Blue Teaming (Defensive Security) and Red Teaming (Ethical Hacking) to keep pace with rapid developments.

  6. Supporting Secure Digital Transformation: To contribute to building technical solutions that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information for both public and private sectors.

  7. Professional Partnership: To encourage students to obtain internationally recognized certifications (such as $CompTIA$, $EC-Council$, and $Cisco$) to enhance their competitiveness in the global job market.


 

Admission Guidelines & Requirements

1. Full-Time Study (Morning Session)

Applicants must submit the following documents to the assigned department:

  • Academic Credentials: Original High School Diploma certified by the General Directorate of Education, or an official transcript of grades, along with a written pledge to the College Registrar.

  • Identification: Three (3) colored copies of the Iraqi Civil Status ID or the Unified National ID for the student, mother, and father.

  • Photographs: Six (6) recent personal photos.

  • Medical Fitness: An official medical examination form.

  • Age Requirements:

    • Applicants must be born in 1994 or later.

    • Applicants born in 1990 are eligible only if their high school average is 90% or higher.

  • Employment Status: Students must be fully dedicated to their studies. Combining employment in government institutions with full-time (morning) study is strictly prohibited.

  • Dual Enrollment: Enrolling in two academic programs simultaneously is prohibited; violation will lead to the cancellation of admission.

2. Part-Time Study (Evening Session)

  • Required Documents: Same as the Morning Session (Diploma, IDs, Photos, Medical Form).

  • Dual Enrollment: Combining two studies is prohibited.

  • Transfer Policy: Students currently in the Morning Session may transfer to the corresponding Evening Session subject to the approval of the College Council.

  • Academic Calendar: The Evening Session follows the same official university calendar as the Morning Session.


Admission Channels & Special Categories

A. Families of Martyrs

  • Eligibility: Families of Ba'ath regime crimes martyrs, Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi martyrs, war operations/military error martyrs, and the wounded individuals themselves under Law No. 57 of 2015.

  • Benefits:

    • 50% reduction in tuition fees for all departments.

    • +5 marks added to the average for Medical Group applicants (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy).

    • +8 marks added to the average for other specializations.

  • Procedure: Fill out the online form and visit the "Martyrs Foundation" for validation.

B. Political Prisoners

  • Eligibility: Prisoners, political detainees, and Rafha detainees held during the former Ba'ath regime.

  • Benefits: Admission with a 3-mark difference below the minimum required average (Evening Session exclusively).

  • Procedure: Eligibility is determined solely through the "Political Prisoners Foundation."

C. Media Professionals

  • Eligibility: Applicants born in 1994 or earlier with at least 10 years of service in recognized media institutions.

  • Excluded Categories: Graduates of Islamic studies and Waqf-affiliated schools for the academic year 2019-2020 and earlier are ineligible.

  • Requirements: Service certification must be endorsed by the Journalists’ Syndicate, the Iraqi Communications and Media Commission, or the Iraqi Media Network.

D. Security Forces (Law No. 15 of 2016)

  • Eligibility: Personnel of the Armed Forces, Internal Security, Intelligence Service, National Security, Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi, and Counter-Terrorism Service.

  • Guidelines:

    • Admission is strictly for the Evening Session.

    • No-objection letter from the Ministry of Interior or the respective high authorities is mandatory.

    • Hosting (transferring) to the Morning Session is strictly prohibited.

E. Top Institute Graduates (Top 30%)

  • Eligibility: The top 30% of graduates from technical institutes (Diploma holders) in matching specializations.

  • Employment: Combining work and study is not allowed for the Morning Session.

F. Free Scholarship (Medical Group)

  • Eligibility: Graduates of the (Scientific/Biology) branch for the academic year 2023/2024 only.

  • Requirements:

    • Average  96%: Can submit 10 different choices.

    • Average  93%: Can submit 6 different choices.

  • Selection: Based on electronic competitive ranking and average.

G. Social Welfare Beneficiaries

  • Eligibility: Students or their parents (father/mother) registered with the Social Protection Authority.

  • Benefits: 50% reduction in tuition fees for the Evening Session only.

H. Quran Memorizers (Hafiz)

  • Benefits: Full tuition fee waiver for those who have memorized the entire Holy Quran.

  • Condition: Must pass an international jury examination under the Ministry of Higher Education. This test is repeated annually to ensure the student continues to retain their memorization.

Application Steps: Private University Education Portal

Stage 1: Account Creation

  1. Download the App: Download the official "Private University Education Department" application and prepare to enter your information.

  2. Account Credentials: Choose a unique username and password, and provide a mobile number (the system will verify that these credentials have not been used previously).

  3. Live Photo Capture: The system will capture a live photograph of the applicant for identity verification.

  4. Identity Document Scan: Perform a digital scan of the Unified National ID Card (both the front and back sides).

  5. Identity Verification: Once the system confirms a match between the live photo and the photo on the National ID, your account will be successfully created.


Stage 2: Data Entry & Verification

  1. Start Application: Use the application to begin the data entry process.

  2. Login: Sign in using the student account credentials created in the first stage.

  3. Student Category Selection: Select the appropriate student category (type of applicant).

  4. Examination Number: Enter your official Examination Number.

  5. Data Confirmation: Carefully review and confirm the accuracy of the displayed data.

  6. Upload Supporting Documents: Upload any required supporting documents or institutional certificates (if applicable).

  7. Secret Code: Enter the "Secret Code" provided by your school or the department.

  8. Final Documentation: Complete the data authentication and documentation process.
