Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference 2023: Minister Highlights Global Academic Engagement and Quality Innovation

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboodi, inaugurates Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference 2023 with regional and international participation. During the opening ceremony, the minister emphasized the ministry's commitment to global academic engagement, quality, and innovation. He highlighted the success of establishing an open environment for Iraqi universities to embrace non-conventional identities, foster academic interaction, and compete internationally.

Dr. Al-Aboodi also pointed out significant projects in the Iraqi higher education sector, including the unprecedented transformation towards a Bologna Process, which involves over 600 specialized departments in government and private universities, as well as the pioneering project "Study in Iraq," which has attracted more than three thousand international students.

The minister stressed the ministry's focus on the quality of university outputs and the advancement of scholarly contributions on the global stage, praising Iraqi researchers for achieving notable recognition. He emphasized the ministry's commitment to embracing quality standards and the adoption of e-governance principles as essential pillars in achieving excellence in the academic institutions and meeting the labor market's requirements and societal service dimensions.

The opening ceremony included speeches from the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee, international institutions, and companies, including Empower Business Solutions, which lauded the ministry's efforts in employment and scientific engagement. Dr. Naeem Al-Aboodi toured the exhibition, which featured pavilions from government and private Iraqi universities, as well as Arab and foreign universities, technology companies, educational organizations, and more.
