The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the availability of fifteen (15) Chinese scholarships offered to Iraq for the academic year 2026–2027.
The Directorate of Scholarships and Cultural Relations clarifies that these scholarships are available to both employees and non-employees, and are designated for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies. The deadline for submitting applications is 13 December 2025.

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa participated in the Conference of the Defence University for Postgraduate Studies, which was attended by a NATO representative and the Vice President of the American University, with the aim of strengthening academic cooperation in support of enhancing Iraq’s national and military security system.
During the conference, the University highlighted the importance of developing educational and research programmes in line with Goal 4 (Quality Education), by supporting specialised academic pathways in the fields of security and defence. The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa Organises an Awareness Seminar on the Escalating Dangers of Drug Abuse

In line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, in cooperation with the Science and Technology Parks Department, organised an awareness seminar addressing the growing risks of drug abuse and its health, social, and legal consequences.
The seminar reviewed the physical and psychological effects of addiction on individuals, underscoring the importance of strengthening prevention and treatment efforts in accordance with Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being). It also discussed how drug abuse weakens social cohesion and contributes to rising crime rates, highlighting the need to support institutional efforts to meet the requirements of Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
Speakers addressed the legal frameworks and procedures adopted to combat drug trafficking and manage cases of addiction, emphasising the importance of strengthening cooperation between universities and governmental and security institutions, in line with Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Announcement of Transfer Results for Dependants of Academic Staff Admitted under the Special Government University Education Scheme

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the transfer results for students from academic staff families who were admitted under the Special Government University Education Scheme and the Appeals Channel for the academic year 2025–2026.
The results include the transfer of eighty-eight (88) students under the Special Government University Education Channel and four (4) students under the Appeals Channel. These transfers apply to students originally admitted to colleges and institutes outside their governorate of residence, who have now been relocated to equivalent programmes within their home governorates, in accordance with the transfer regulations governing both channels.
The Directorate of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up indicates that students may view their admission results through its portal using their examination number, and calls upon the admitted students to proceed with the registration process and begin their studies at their respective universities.

The College of Law at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa has organised a scientific competition for second-year students, attended by the Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr Nowfal Al-Araji. The event reflects the University’s commitment to developing students’ academic capabilities and fostering a spirit of positive competition among them.
The competition featured specialised legal questions in Criminal Law, with participating teams competing to provide answers in an engaging academic atmosphere that contributed to strengthening students’ legal analytical skills and critical thinking. The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by supporting interactive learning methods, and contributes to advancing Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through preparing legal professionals who are conscious of the values of justice and the rule of law.

Ministry of Higher Education Announces the Opening of the Application Form for Graduates of Islamic Secondary Schools (Third Sitting)

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the opening of the electronic application form for the admission of students graduating from Islamic preparatory schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education, as well as those from the Endowment-administered schools (Third Examination Sitting), for the academic year 2025–2026.
The Directorate of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up clarifies that applications may be submitted to the Departments of Arabic Language, History, Philosophy, Sociology, Tourism, Psychology, and Archaeology. The application period will remain open until Thursday, 27 November 2025. Applicants are required to confirm their choices via the electronic portal, selecting no fewer than ten (10) and no more than twenty-five (25) options.

This accomplishment places the University among only nine Iraqi institutions—public and private—featured in this prestigious international evaluation. According to the results, the University ranked second among private Iraqi universities and ninth among all participating Iraqi institutions, having met the required environmental and societal criteria adopted by the ranking.

Under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Holy Hussain Shrine, the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University held a scientific seminar titled “The Relationship Between Religion and Medicine.” The seminar was delivered by Dr Sadiq Al-Maruj and attended by a large audience of the College’s academic staff and students, as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen scientific and ethical awareness among its students.
The seminar addressed several key themes, focusing on connecting Qur’anic values to the educational journey of medical students and highlighting the impact of religious teachings on shaping the physician’s humanitarian and ethical character. It also explored the complementarity between religious principles and contemporary scientific developments in the medical field. In implementation of the directives of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Warith Al-Anbiyaa University  has announced a decision to grant a full exemption from tuition fees for first-year students enrolled in the Colleges of Islamic Sciences and Law for the current academic year.
This decision was issued under the guidance of Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, as part of efforts to support newly admitted students and to alleviate the financial burden on their families.
The exemption applies exclusively to first-year students for the current academic year. The University also reaffirms its continued commitment to implementing initiatives aimed at expanding access to education and further developing the academic environment.

Students of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa achieved a distinguished milestone by securing fourth place at the Arab Scout Youth Award – Second Edition, hosted by the United Arab Emirates, for their innovative project “Iraq Scouts Application”.
This accomplishment was achieved under the supervision of the Department of Student Activities. The university was represented at the award ceremony by Abbas Alaa Dheyaa Al-Deen, a student from the College of Science, Department of Information Technology, and was completed in coordination with the University Scouting Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and with the support of the Iraqi Scout Association.

Commencement of Student Data Entry, Verification, and Electronic Certification

The phase for student data entry, verification, and electronic approval has officially commenced.
• Students who have already created their accounts are invited to review and verify their information using their examination number and password. • Students without an examination number or password will be issued an electronic examination number, enabling them to complete their data entry and upload supporting documents or grade confirmations. • Students are required to book the nearest verification centre to complete the validation and approval of their data. • Students eligible for special privileges, including those of martyrs’ families, political prisoners, outstanding athletes, and media professionals, must complete the forms specific to their category and schedule an appointment electronically for verification with the relevant authorities.

Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority Visits the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, Praises Expansion and Sustainable Development Projects

Today, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, visited the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, where he was welcomed by the University President, Professor Dr Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayyawi. The visit formed part of an inspection tour to review ongoing expansion and development projects within the university, undertaken as part of its strategic plans to enhance the quality of education and develop the campus environment.
During the tour, He examined the new buildings under construction, as well as service and infrastructure projects being developed to provide a modern and safe learning environment.
