The President of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, Professor Dr Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayyawi, received the Deputy Head of the Karbala Provincial Council, Mr Mahfouz Al-Tamimi, accompanied by a delegation of council members. The official visit was intended to honour the university in recognition of its academic performance and the scientific achievements it has accomplished in recent years.

The meeting also explored prospects for cooperation between the university and the Provincial Council. Discussions focused on opening new avenues of coordination that would support educational and developmental initiatives in Karbala. The dialogue also emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and government bodies in order to serve the local community.

This visit forms part of efforts to enhance institutional partnerships in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In particular, it supports Goal 4 (Quality Education) through the promotion of higher education institutions, Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by contributing to local development, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through the expansion of cooperation between the university and governmental bodies.

Both sides emphasised the importance of maintaining communication and coordination in order to promote scientific and community development in Karbala and to support the continued advancement of higher education.
